Mogul Thrash was a British progressive rock band originating from James Litherland's Brotherhood, which formed in 1969. The group featured guitarist and reedist Michael Rosen, drummer Bill Harrison, saxophonists Roger Ball and Malcolm Duncan, and singer/bassist John Wetton. Mogul Thrash debuted with the single "Sleeping in the Kitchen" in 1970. Their self-titled album Mogul Thrash was released in 1971 under RCA Records. The band's career was short-lived due to legal issues with their management, leading to their disbandment shortly after the album's release. Despite limited success at home, Mogul Thrash found favor throughout Europe. John Wetton went on to join Family and later King Crimson, UK, and Asia. Duncan and Ball reunited in Average White Band. The band was mentioned in the Half Man Half Biscuit song "The Best Things in Life" from the album ACD.
