Biography
Formed in 2016 in Boston, Model/Actriz operate in radical genres between dance-punk, noise rock and industrial rock. Comprising Cole Haden (vocals), Aaron Shapiro (guitar since 2020), Jack Wetmore (bass) and Ruben Radlauer (drums), the New York-based quartet create a noisy, cathartic sound universe, distinguishing themselves with powerful stage performances and delivering three abrasive EPs, â¬100 and AVA in 2016, then No in 2017. In 2020 came the singles "Suntan" and "Damocles", followed by "Mosquito" and a critically acclaimed debut album, Dogsbody (2023), released on the True Panther label. Combining the sonic brutality of industrial music with swaying rhythms and chanted vocals, Model/Actriz proved to be a singular band in the experimental vein. In 2025, the singles "Cinderella", "Doves" and "Diva " give a foretaste of the album Pirouette.
