Biography
KUD Idijoti, a Croatian punk band, was formed in Pula on February 2, 1981. The group initially consisted of SaÅ¡a MilovanoviÄ "Sale Veruda," Davor ZgrabljiÄ "Buco," and Egidio Rocco, who were later joined by Marino Piuko. Known for their Ramones-influenced sound and leftist attitudes, KUD Idijoti released their EP, Bolje Izdati PloÄu Nego Prijatelja, in 1987. The band's steady lineup, featuring Branko Ärnac "Tusta" on vocals, Nenad MarjanoviÄ "Fric" on bass guitar, and Diego Bosusco "Ptica" on drums, solidified in 1985. They gained attention with releases like Mi Smo Ovdje Samo Zbog Para (1990) and Glupost Je NeuniÅ¡tiva (1992). Despite the Yugoslav Wars disrupting their career, KUD Idijoti maintained a large fanbase throughout the 1990s and 2000s. The band went on hiatus in 2011 due to Ärnac's illness and officially disbanded following his death in 2012.
