Biography
Mischief Brew was an American folk punk band from Philadelphia, formed in 2000 by vocalist and guitarist Erik Petersen. The group began as a solo project by Petersen, who released his first recordings under Art of the Underground. In 2003, Petersen assembled the full-band incarnation of Mischief Brew, featuring Chris "Doc" Kulp on drums and Sean Yantz on bass. The band's debut album, Smash The Windows, was released in 2005. Subsequent albums included Songs from Under the Sink (2006), Photographs from the Shoebox (2008), Fight Dirty (2009), The Stone Operation (2011), and This is Not for Children (2015). Mischief Brew toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, supporting various causes. Erik Petersen died on July 14, 2016, marking the end of the band's active years.
