Biography

A product of production outfit Xenomania's commercial pop machine, Frankee Connolly was initially scouted through MySpace, having been part of a small girl group in her native Manchester; Britt Love was performing at a breakdance competition in Newcastle when she spotted a flyer asking for girls to audition for a new group, Mini Viva. Despite neither girls having performed in an audition before, both were eventually chosen by Xenomania to launch as a new British female pop duo and the pair were fast-tracked into the studio to begin working on their first material. As fans of the Spice Girls, the girls worked on their sound and released their debut single Left My Heart In Tokyo in September 2009, which reached Number 7 in the UK singles chart. They supported The Saturdays on their Work Tour in 2009, before releasing their second single at the end of the year. I Wish didn't perform well only hitting Number 73 in the chart and dropping out a week later, but undeterred Mini Viva ploughed on with recording. A third single, One Touch, arrived in May 2010, but it performed even worse failing to even enter the UK top 100.
