Standing for "Laughing My F*cking Arse Off", flamboyant, electro-rap duo LMFAO established their reputation with outlandish party-starting dance hits filled with pumping synths, suggestive rhymes and swaggering beats. The son and grandson of Motown founder Berry Gordy, Redfoo (aka Stefan Gordy) and nephew Sky Blu (aka Skyler Gordy) started out performing at family gatherings before DJ-ing and producing demos together around 2006. Best friend Will.i.am helped them land a deal with Interscope and when their track I'm In Miami Bitch was used as the theme track to a Kardasian's reality show, word started to spread of their infectious floor fillers. Superstar DJ David Guetta championed them in Ibiza and their collaboration with Lil Jon on single Shots helped make debut album Party Rock (2009) the soundtrack to holiday destinations such as Cancun, Las Vegas and Miami. With their wild curly hair, flashy bling, love of tight, bright leopard and zebra print trousers and outrageous dance moves, they went on to top the US charts with huge hits Party Rock Anthem and Sexy And I Know It, but after performing at the Super Bowl during Madonna's half-time show in 2012, the pair were exhausted and forced to take a hiatus.
