Miel San Marcos, a Guatemalan Christian music band formed in San Marcos, Guatemala, comprises brothers Josh, Luis, and Sammy Morales; the group emerged in 2000 and quickly established a regional presence. Their early releases, including Viene por mà (2000) and He Ahà el Cordero (2001), built a dedicated fan base, while they continued issuing live recordings throughout the 2000s and early 2010s. The bandâs breakthrough came with the 2010 live album Avivamiento, followed by the 2012 live release Proezas recorded at the Anaheim Convention Center Arena, which featured collaborations with artists such as Coalo Zamorano and Juan Carlos Alvarado. In 2015 the group launched Como En El Cielo, recorded live at Arena Ciudad de México and earning a Dove Award for Best Spanish Language Album in 2015. The 2017 live album Pentecostés was recorded at Madison Square Garden and secured a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Christian Album in Spanish. Subsequent projects included the 2020 EP Mil Generaciones with Essential Worship and the 2022 live album Evangelio recorded in Los Angeles with a large audience. Throughout their career, Miel San Marcos has released numerous live albums and singles, collaborated with international Christian artists, and maintained a presence on Latin Christian charts, solidifying their role in contemporary Guatemalan worship music.
