Biography

Elevation Worship is a contemporary worship band originating from Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The collective began in 2007 with independent releases such as The Sound, We Are Alive, God With Us, and Kingdom Come, the latter reaching number 5 on Billboard Heatseekers and number 42 on Independent Albums. In 2011, the group signed with Essential Records and issued the live album For the Honor, which peaked at Number 1 on Heatseekers and Number 19 on Christian Albums. Subsequent releases-Nothing Is Wasted (2013), Only King Forever (2014), Wake Up the Wonder (2014), Here as in Heaven (2016), There Is a Cloud (2017), and Hallelujah Here Below (2018)-continued to chart within the top 20 of Christian Albums, with Only King Forever debuting at number 23 on the Billboard 200. The band’s 2020 studio album Graves Into Gardens topped the Christian Albums chart and entered the Billboard 200 at number 34, while Lion (2022) and Can You Imagine? (2023) both achieved Number 1 on Christian Albums. In 2024, the live release When Wind Meets Fire added to a catalog that includes Echo the Angels (2023) and SO BE IT (2026). The group has earned one Grammy Award and eight Dove Awards, and singles such as "Trust in God" and "Rattle!" have received multi‑platinum certifications.
