Biography
Cincinnati, Ohio native Michael Marcagi formerly led the rock band the Heavy Hours. Having garnered attention independently and amassing a dedicated fanbase, Marcagi made a significant impact with his debut solo single, "The Other Side," released in December 2023. Following his signing to Warner Records in January 2024, his second single, "Scared to Start," received a highly positive reception on various social media platforms. The track soared to the top 20 in Ireland and landed in the top 50 in Australia, Canada, and the UK. Additionally, it entered the charts in Sweden at number 77 and made its debut on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart on February 3, 2024, ahead of his EP American Romance which appeared on February 9, charting at number 195 in the US and 70 in Canada. In May, he re-released "Scared to Start" as a duet with Joy Oladokun.
