Max McNown, born Max McNown on 20 July 2001 in Bend, Oregon, is an American singerâsongwriter and guitarist whose career began in the early 2020s after graduating high school in 2020 and attending college for two years. In 2023 he released his debut single "Freezing in November" and shortly thereafter signed with Fugitive Recordings, launching his debut EP A Lot More Free in August 2023; the EP produced the chartâsuccessful singles "A Lot More Free" and "Better Me for You (Brown Eyes)". In April 2024 he released his first fullâlength album Wandering, followed in September 2024 by the EP Willfully Blind, which spawned the singles "Willfully Blind" and "Hotel Bible". Subsequent singles such as "Roses and Wolves" (2024), "Call Me If You Miss Me" (2025), and "Love I Got Left" (2023) expanded his catalog. Night Diving and the expanded version of the album Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up), which included the charting single "Better Me for You (Brown Eyes)," were released in 2025. Max McNownâs releases have achieved platinum certifications in the United States and Australia, and his work has been recognized in multiple national charts, solidifying his presence in contemporary country music.
