Michael Hoppé, born in 1944 in Cairo, Egypt, is an English musician, composer, and record producer. In the early 1980s, he served as head of A&R for PolyGram Records, signing notable artists including Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, and Kitaro, as well as resigning ABBA and The Who. He left PolyGram in 1984 to focus on composing and established his own company, Chordially Yours Music. His discography includes over 30 new age and classical albums, with notable releases such as Eyes Of The Wind (1987), The Yearning-Romances for Alto Flute (1993), and Solace (2003), which was nominated for a Grammy Award. His music has been featured in various films and television shows, including The Sopranos, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Misunderstood, and Sicko.
