Biography

Medwyn Goodall, born in 1961 in Yorkshire, England, is a British composer known for his work in electronic and New Age music. He began composing original songs as a teenager, gaining local attention and learning to play various instruments, including the mandolin, piano, battery, harp, flute, pan flute, vibraphone, and synthesizer. At 16 years old, he released his first album. Goodall's career took off with the release of Emergence in 1987 under New World Music. His early albums were also published by Oreade Music. Goodall has since recorded over 75 albums, achieving chart success in the UK and selling more than three million albums worldwide. Notable releases include Kindred Spirits, Gifts of Comfort & Joy, Merlin, and Way of the Dolphin. He has also collaborated with artists such as Terry Oldfield on Om (2006) and Aroshanti on OM2 (2010). Goodall's work includes a track, "Free Spirit", from his album Meditation & Visualisation, which was featured in the video game Spyro 2.
