Bruno Reuter, known professionally as Karunesh, was born in 1956 in Cologne, Germany. After a severe accident, he embarked on a spiritual journey to India, where he met Osho and received the name "Karunesh," meaning compassion. Returning to Germany, Reuter lived in Hamburg for five years within the Rajneesh commune, honing his musical skills and collaborating with international musicians. His debut album, Sounds of the Heart, was released in 1984, marking the beginning of a prolific career in electronic music and New Age genres. Notable releases include Global Spirit (2000), The Way of the Heart (2001), and Beyond Heaven (2003). Karunesh's compositions often blend world fusion elements with meditative atmospheres, aiming to connect the body, heart, and soul through rhythm, melody, and ambiance. He has been recognized as one of the leading figures in New Age music, with his work continuing to influence listeners worldwide.
