Michael Cormick is an Australian singer and actor known for his extensive work in musical theatre. His career began with notable roles in Australian productions such as Beauty and the Beast, where he originated the role of The Beast opposite Hugh Jackman. He also played significant parts in shows like The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Sunset Boulevard, and Mamma Mia!. His West End credits include roles in The Phantom of the Opera and The Woman in White. In 1996, he won the Mo Award for Male Musical Theater Performer of the Year for Beauty and the Beast. Cormick can be heard on the compilation album The Spirit of Christmas 1995 along with the Australian cast of Beauty and the Beast.
