Mesh, a British electronic alternative group formed in 1991, emerged from the alternative scene with a lineup blending guitarâdriven hooks and atmospheric textures. Their early work began with the Fragile EP in 1994, followed by the fullâlength In This Place Forever on 10â¯Augustâ¯1996, which established their presence on the UK indie circuit. Subsequent releases-Fragmente (1998), The Point at Which It Falls Apart (22â¯Februaryâ¯1999), and Originalâ¯91â¯ââ¯93 (1â¯Aprilâ¯2000)-expanded their catalog, while On This Tour Forever (15â¯Mayâ¯2000) showcased their live energy. In 2001, Who Watches over Me? (22â¯Julyâ¯2001) continued their exploration of melodic rock, and Fragmenteâ¯2 (26â¯Augustâ¯2002) added depth to their discography. The midâ2000s saw a shift with the Crash EP (24â¯Februaryâ¯2006) and We Collide (31â¯Marchâ¯2006), followed by the We Collide Tour â The Worldâs a Big Place album (23â¯Novemberâ¯2007). Later projects included Only Better (4â¯Septemberâ¯2009), A Perfect Solution (23â¯Octoberâ¯2009), How Long? (26â¯Marchâ¯2010), An Alternative Solution (20â¯Mayâ¯2011), Born to Lie (18â¯Januaryâ¯2013), Automation Baby (18â¯Marchâ¯2013), Looking Skyward (26â¯Augustâ¯2016), and a live recording Live at Neuesâ¯Gewandhaus Leipzig (24â¯Novemberâ¯2017). Meshâs single "Hold and Restrain" (15â¯Januaryâ¯2010) added to their catalog, and the group remained active in touring and recording throughout the 2000s and 2010s, maintaining a steady presence in the UK alternative rock scene.
