Biography

Marta Roure i Besolí, born on January 16, 1981, in Andorra la Vella, Andorra, is an Andorran singer and actress. Coming from a family deeply rooted in music, Marta began her musical education at the Conservatoire of Andorra and later studied at the Music School in Lleida and Youkali school in Barcelona. Her breakthrough moment came in 2004 when she was chosen to represent Andorra in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Jugarem a estimar-nos," marking the first time a song in Catalan language was performed at the competition. Roure placed 18th in the semifinal. Shortly after her Eurovision appearance, she released her debut album Nua in 2004.
