Biography

Unit:187, a Canadian industrial band, was formed in 1994 by vocalist Tod Law, keyboardist John Morgan, and guitarist Ashley Scribner. Influenced by local acts like Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy, Unit:187 released their self-titled debut album in 1996 via 21st Circuitry. Their second album, Loaded, produced by Devin Townsend, was released in 1997 and received critical acclaim. They signed with COP International for the album Capital Punishment, which was released in 2003. Following a hiatus after Law's death in June 2015 due to leukemia, Unit:187 reformed in 2024 and released their fifth studio album KillCure via Metropolis Records. The album featured contributions from Law prior to his passing and marked the debut of Kerry Vink as the band's new vocalist.
