Mark Foggoâs Skasters is a ska band originating from Liverpool and Amsterdam, formed in 1987 by Mark Foggo. The band's early success began with "New Shoes" as part of Mark Foggo & the Secret Meeting, which became a hit in the Netherlands. This led to their signing with Polydor Records and subsequent release of their debut album Speeding My Life Away (1980). After releasing A State of Mind (1983) and Weapons and Guitars (1985), Ska Pig was released in 1989 using the new band name Mark Foggo's Skasters. The band's live performances became a hallmark, leading to albums like Captain Skarlet: Live (1990) and Lucky to Be Alive (1994). Mark Foggoâs Skasters continued to release notable works such as The Missionaries of Ska (2002), You Shot Me (2005), and Hello Ska People (2016).
