Marion Ryan, born Marian Ryan on February 4, 1931 in Middlesbrough, North Riding of Yorkshire, England, was a British singer. She began her career by approaching Ray Ellington's quartet at the Locarno in Liverpool in July 1953 and made her debut with them later that year. Ryan started recording for Pye Nixa in 1955, releasing several cover versions of American hits. Ryan went solo in 1957, touring with Cyril Stapleton and his Show Band, and made appearances on BBC's Six-Five Special and the Royal Variety Performance. Her single "Love Me Forever" reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in 1958. She released her first LP A Lady Loves in 1959 and was a regular singer on Granada Television's musical quiz show Spot the Tune. She died from a heart attack on January 15, 1999, in Boca Raton, Florida, United States.
