Marbin is a jazz rock band formed in Israel by saxophonist Danny Markovitch and guitarist Dani Rabin. After meeting following Markovitch's military service and Rabin's graduation from Berklee College of Music, the duo moved to Chicago and released their debut album Marbin in 2009. In 2011, they collaborated with Paul Wertico, former member of the Pat Metheny Group, for the release of Breaking the Cycle. The band's lineup evolved over the years, featuring various musicians including Jae Gentile, Justyn Lawrence, Everette A. Benton Jr., and Blake Jiracek. Notable albums include Last Chapter of Dreaming (2013), The Third Set (2014), Aggressive Hippies (2015), Goatman and the House of the Dead (2016), Israeli Jazz (2018), and Strong Thing (2019). Marbin has performed at prominent venues and festivals in the U.S., including The Jazz Showcase, Frozen Dead Guy Days, and the Chicago Jazz Festival.
