Biography

Alain Caron is a jazz bassist from Quebec who began playing music as a child and studied with pianist Charlie Banacas at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He was a co-founder of the Canadian group UZEB in 1977 and released several albums with them. He also put out recordings as Le Band and collaborated with artists such as Leni Stern and Gino Vannelli. His albums include 'Rhythm'n Jazz' (1995), 'Basse Contre Basse' (1996) and 'Conversations' (2007). UZEB reformed in 2017 for a series of concerts in Quebec and in Europe and in 2019 released the album 'UZEB R3union Live'.
