Forgas Band Phenomena is a French instrumental jazz fusion and progressive rock band, founded by composer, keyboardist and drummer Patrick Forgas. Their origins trace back to the 1970s, releasing their first single "Monks (La Danse des moines) / Cocktail" in 1977. Their debut album Cocktail was released in the same year. In 2005, Forgas Band Phenomena signed with the American label Cuneiform Records, which released their live album Soleil 12. The band incorporates elements of electronic music, jazz, and progressive rock. Notable albums include LâAxe du Fou â Axis of Madness (2009) and Acte V (2012), which featured a DVD from their NEARfest gig on June 19, 2010. Their album, LâOreille Ãlectrique, was released in 2018.
