Biography

María Magdalena Ortiz Panatt, known professionally as María Colores, was born on August 28, 1981, in Santiago, Chile. She is a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist who gained prominence within the Chilean pop-rock scene. In 2011, she emerged as a standout artist from Sello Azul, releasing her debut album Llamadas perdidas. The title track "Llamadas perdidas" became a national hit, featured in the telenovela Peleles on Canal 13, and performed at Teletón 2011. Colores also participated in notable events such as the Premios Altazor ceremony and toured extensively across Chile. Her subsequent album Me gusta la vida (2013) marked a significant milestone, supported by the Fondo de la Música del Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes. This period also saw her international tours in Argentina, Mexico, and the United States. Colores continued to release albums, including Dejemos ir (2015).
