MarÃa Guadalupe Palomera Chávez, known professionally as Lupita Palomera, was born on December 12, 1913 in La Yesca, Nayarit, Mexico. She began her career as a singer at the radio station XED in Guadalajara and moved to Mexico City in 1934, gaining prominence through programs like La hora azul. Her breakthrough came in 1938 with the release of "Vereda tropical" by Gonzalo Curiel for Discos RCA VÃctor. Palomera's career spanned several decades, during which she released numerous albums including Canta Lupita Palomera (1957) and La inspiración de AgustÃn Lara en la voz de Lupita Palomera (1958). She also appeared in films such as Hombres de mar, Padre mercader, and Sangre en las montañas. Palomera passed away on November 16, 2008 in Mexico City.
