Biography

Lazlo Bane, an American alternative rock band from Santa Monica, California, became active in 1995. The group's origin can be traced back to Chad Fischer's solo work after leaving School of Fish. Fischer took the name Lazlo Bane and initially signed with Los Angeles-based indie label Fish of Death Records, releasing the debut single "Buttercup" backed with a cover of Men at Work's "Overkill", featuring Colin Hay. In 1996, Lazlo Bane produced their first EP Short Style and the next year, released their debut full-length album 11 Transistor, which included the popular cover of "Overkill". In 2000, Lazlo Bane's song "Superman" appeared on the soundtrack of The Tao of Steve and later became the theme song for the TV series Scrubs. Their second album, All The Time in the World, was released in 2002.
