Biography

Love Equals Death was a punk rock band from Petaluma, California, formed on October 31, 2003. The initial lineup included vocalist Chon Travis, guitarist John Rosser, bassist Dominic Davi, and drummer Tonio Garcia-Romero. Their first release was the cover version of "Dammit Janet" in December 2003. Love Equals Death released their debut EP, 4 Notes on a Dying Scale, in January 2005, followed by The Hucklebuck EP in August. They signed to Fat Wreck Chords and released their full-length album, Nightmerica, on March 21, 2006. The band toured extensively across the United States and Europe, supporting acts like Pennywise and No Use for a Name. In March 2007, founding bassist Dominic Davi was arrested and dismissed from the band. Love Equals Death disbanded in January 2009 after singer Chon Travis quit but reformed in 2019 to release new music on SBAM Records.
