Biography

Liyuu is a Chinese singer and cosplayer, born in Shanghai on January 9, 1997. Although she initially pursued a career in cosplay, she also developed a passion for anime music during her junior high school years. After gaining a following in Japan, Liyuu made her major debut in 2020 with the release of her first single "Magic Words," which was used as the opening theme of the anime television series Hatena Illusion, peaking at number 44 on the Oricon Charts. She followed this with "Carpe Diem" in November of the same year, which was used as the closing theme of the anime television series I'm Standing on a Million Lives. In addition to her music career, Liyuu is also known for her role as Tang Keke in the multimedia project Love Live! Superstar!!. Liyuu's first solo concert was held in Yokohama in February 2022, surprising fans with debut studio album Fo (u) r YuU on the same day. “True Fool Light” was released in November that year, with EP koii appearing a few months later in February 2023, reaching number 17 on the Billboard Japan Album Charts.
