Biography

Kaori Maeda is a well-known Japanese voice actress and singer, born on October 20, 1978, in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka. She developed an interest in voiceover work after reading the manga Voice Over! Seiyu Academy and signed with the talent agency Amuse after winning a voice acting audition in 2016. Her earliest roles include Aria Futaba in the anime television series Aikatsu Stars! and Nice Nature in the multimedia franchise Uma Musume Pretty Derby. Over the following years, Kaori Maeda gained popularity among anime fans and went on to voice several notable characters in various anime series, including Back Street Girls (2018), Kandagawa Jet Girls (2019), and Tamayomi (2020). In 2023, she made her debut as a singer with the pop punk-tinged single "Toward the Shining Coin," which was used as the theme song for the anime Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement. Mikansei Star, her debut EP, saw the light later that year and climbed to Number 18 on the Japanese Top 100.
