Aqours are a J-pop group formed by ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine, recording company Lantis and anime production firm Sunrise, who feature in the Japanese multimedia anime series 'Love Live! Sunshine!'. The first season appeared in 2015 with accompanying CDs followed by a manga version, a second television season in 2017 and in 2019 by an anime movie titled 'Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie: Over the Rainbow'. Performers include singers You Watanabe, Yoshijo Tsushima, Riko Sakarauchi, Kanan Matsuura, Hanamaru Kunikida, Ruby Kurosawa, Mari Ohara and Chika Takami. Their 2018 single 'Water Blue New World' reached number four on Billboard's Japan Hot 100. They have had many tracks in the top ten of Japan's Oricon singles chart including 'Next Sparkling', which topped the chart upon its release in 2019, plus 'Hop? Stop? Nonstop!', which went to number two, and 'Over the Next Rainbow', which peaked at number three. Their schedule was to include the Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours World LoveLive! Asia Tour 2019, which was to take them to venues in Taipei, Chiba, Seoul and Shanghai.
