Lisa McClendon, born Edletha Lorraine Peoples on October 17, 1975, in Palatka, Florida, is an American singer known for her work in soul, jazz, and gospel music. She began singing at age 12 in her church and started her professional career with the release of My Diary, Your Life on Shabach Entertainment in 2002. Her breakthrough came with the album Soul Music, released in 2003, which reached number 20 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. McClendon followed this success with Live from the House of Blues in 2006, which also charted on the Gospel Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts. She has shared the stage with notable artists such as Chrisette Michelle and Lela James, and has headlined tours across the US and Europe.
