Biography

Leah Dizon, born on September 24, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is an American singer, model, and former race queen who rose to fame in Japan. Of Chinese-Filipino and French-American descent, she grew up listening to rock and R&B and studied acting in Los Angeles. While working at motor shows, she gained attention by posting photos online, which quickly attracted millions of views. Encouraged by fan interest from Japan, she sent demo videos to agencies and signed with Victor Entertainment in 2006. Soon after arriving in Japan, Dizon became a popular gravure idol, appearing on magazine covers and releasing two photo books that sold over 300,000 copies. On February 14, 2007, she made her music debut with the single "Softly", which peaked at number 7 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Her pop career briefly flourished before personal milestones shifted her focus. Dizon returned to Japan in 2013 and resumed her music career in 2019 with the mini-album FOR THE WORLD.
