Biography

Léa Galva, a zouk singer from Martinique, was born on April 15, 1967. She began her singing career with Tony Chasseur, performing a track on the JM Harmony album in 1985. The following year, she moved to Paris to train as a dancer at the Institut pédagogique d'art chorégraphique, graduating three years later with a diploma in classical dance. Returning to Martinique in 1992, she taught dance and joined the Kwak group, which recorded the album A la Kwakans. In 1993, Léa Galva received the Sacem prize for composition of the year, awarded to the track "Kontinué". She appeared in the TV film Au nom du coq (1993), then hosted the show Quoi de neuf on Zouk TV. Léa Galva has recorded the albums Galvanisée (1996), Je T'Aime (2011) and Léa Galva (2012). In 2025, she returned with the track "Confiants", which reached number 35 in the Outre-Mer chart.
