Biography

La Yunta is an Argentinian folk duo from TucumÃ¡n, formed in August 2000 by JuliÃ¡n Humaran and Gustavo PÃ¡ez. Their debut album, DespuÃ©s De Tanto Tiempo, released in 2003, featured songs primarily written by authors from TucumÃ¡n. In 2007, they released their second album, TucumÃ¡n Adentro. Notable tracks included "Nostalgias Tucumanas" by Atahualpa Yupanqui and original compositions like "El Picaflor". La Yunta received the Premio ConsagraciÃ³n at the 31st Festival del Encuentro in Baradero, and the "Queso de Oro" award at the Festival Nacional del Queso in TafÃ del Valle, TucumÃ¡n, in 2007. Their subsequent albums include Volverte a Ver (2009), En el jardÃn de la ilusiÃ³n (2013), La Yunta Vivo (2016), Herencia (2019), and Herencia en Vivo (2021).
