Biography

La Yunta is an Argentinian folk duo from Tucumán, formed in August 2000 by Julián Humaran and Gustavo Páez. Their debut album, Después De Tanto Tiempo, released in 2003, featured songs primarily written by authors from Tucumán. In 2007, they released their second album, Tucumán Adentro. Notable tracks included "Nostalgias Tucumanas" by Atahualpa Yupanqui and original compositions like "El Picaflor". La Yunta received the Premio Consagración at the 31st Festival del Encuentro in Baradero, and the "Queso de Oro" award at the Festival Nacional del Queso in Tafí del Valle, Tucumán, in 2007. Their subsequent albums include Volverte a Ver (2009), En el jardín de la ilusión (2013), La Yunta Vivo (2016), Herencia (2019), and Herencia en Vivo (2021).
