Kore & Skalp was a French duo from France, established in 1997. The ensemble consisted of Djamel âKoreâ Fezari and Pascal âSkalpâ Koeu. The pair is recognized for introducing the Raï'n'B style to the French music scene, a genre that blends R&B and raï music. The duo began its career producing mixtapes for underground groups before signing with Sony Music France in 2001. Throughout their collaboration, Fezari and Koeu produced tracks for various artists, including K-Reen, Rohff, and Booba. In 2003, the pair founded Artop Records and signed a management contract with the company Bozdaya to oversee artists such as Willy Denzey, Leslie, and M. Pokora. During the same year, the duo produced the soundtrack for the film Taxi 3. The duo released its first compilation album, Raï'n'B Fever, in June 2004. The record was certified Gold in France with 75,000 copies sold and featured the single "Un gaou à Oran", a collaboration between 113, Mohammed Lamine, and Magic System. Kore & Skalp became inactive in 2005. Following the separation, Fezari continued his production work alongside his brother Bellek, while Koeu pursued a career as a producer under the name Skalpovich.
