Kjetil André Mulelid, born on February 4, 1991, in Hurdal, Norway, is a Norwegian jazz pianist and composer. He completed his studies at the Jazz program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim in 2014. Following his education, Mulelid became active with various bands, including Kjemilie, Wako, and others. His debut album with the Kjetil Mulelid Trio, Not Nearly Enough To Buy A House, was released in 2017. The trio, featuring bassist Bjørn Marius Hegge and drummer Andreas Skår Winther, is known for its energetic and rhythmically intricate music. In 2021, Mulelid released his solo album Piano. He has collaborated with notable musicians such as Siril Malmedal Hauge, Arve Henriksen, and Trygve Seim. His work spans multiple genres, from hymns to free jazz.
