Tingstad & Rumbel, an American musical group, was formed in 1985 when Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel began their collaboration, focusing on new age music and chamber jazz. Their debut album, The Gift (Acoustic Offerings for the Holiday Season) (1985), was released in 1985. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, they released several albums, including Legends (1988), Homeland (1990), and In the Garden (1991). In 1998, their album American Acoustic was honored as "Acoustic Instrumental Album of the Year." They performed at Carnegie Hall in 2000. Their album Acoustic Garden, released in 2002, received the award for Best New Age Album at the 45th Grammy Awards in 2003.
