Biography

Ken Kiprono Ring (born January 29, 1979) was a Swedish rapper from Hässelby. Ring released the recording “Mamma” and the debut studio album Vägen tillbaka in 1999. The album featured the recording “Eld och djupa vatten” and reached number 8 on the Swedish charts. During a performance at Vattenfestivalen in 1999, Ring was arrested for the lyrics of the recording “Spräng regeringen”. Following the release of the album Mitt hem blir ditt hem in 2000, which reached number 16, Ring was dropped by his record label. Ring subsequently released music independently and collaborated with Norwegian producer Tommy Tee on the album 2 legender utan pengar in 2004. His discography included the albums Äntligen hemma (2007) and Hip Hop (2009), the latter reaching number 9. In 2013, Ring appeared on the television program Så mycket bättre. Ring announced his retirement from music on April 12, 2021.
