Keith & Tex, a Jamaican rocksteady duo consisting of Keith Rowe and Phillip Texas Dixon, hail from Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica. The pair met through a mutual friend and initially performed as part of a five-man group before working with Derrick Harriot. Their breakthrough came in the late 1960s when they recorded several singles with Harriott, including "Stop That Train" and "Tonight". In 1970, Keith & Tex ceased working together, with Rowe emigrating to the United States and Dixon moving to Canada. Rowe later released solo tracks and worked with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry. The duo reunited for live shows and released a new album, Back Together Again, in 1997. They continued touring worldwide and releasing albums such as Redux (2014), Just Passing Through (2015), and Same Old Story (2017).
