Michael George Henry, born in 1943 and better known as Ras Michael and also performing as Dadawah, is a Jamaican reggae singer, Nyabinghi specialist, and Rastafarian elder. Raised in a Rastafari community in Saint Mary Parish, he later moved to Kingston, where he worked as a session musician at Studio One and founded the Zion Disc label. With his group, The Sons of Negus, he popularized traditional Nyabinghi drumming and chanting through albums including Nyahbinghi (1974), Rastafari (1975), and Kibir Am Lak (1977). He also recorded with Lee "Scratch" Perry and Bob Marley, and in 2015 received Jamaica's Order of Distinction for his contributions to Jamaican music.
