The band's name originated from Lee's record shop, Agro Sounds. Their early work included instrumental B-sides on Lee's single releases, often mixed by King Tubby. Notable albums included Rasta Dub 76 (1976), Kaya Dub (1977), and Aggrovators Meets The Revolutioners At Channel One Studios (1977).
