Biography
Kashief Lindo, a Jamaican singer born in Kingston, migrated to the United States with his family at the age of six. The son of guitarist and producer Willie Lindo, Kashief's first recording was produced by his father in 1992. His breakthrough came in 1993 with the Jamaican single "Hard Times", based on the "Satta Massagana" rhythm. In 1996, he recorded a popular version of "Killing Me Softly with His Song". Throughout his career, Lindo released several albums including Soul & Inspiration (1995), What Kinda World (1997), and We Need Love (1999). In 2004, he released Solid Soul, and in 2012, he paid tribute to Michael Jackson with A Reggae Tribute To Michael Jackson.
