Chinmaya Dunster, born Stephen Dunster in 1954 in Kent, England, is a British musician known for his work as a sarod player. He studied classical guitar and composition independently before traveling to Delhi in 1979, where he became acquainted with classical Indian music. Dunster founded the east-west fusion band Terra Incognita with Prem Joshua in 1990, releasing two albums through New Earth Records. In 1998, he released his first album, Lands of The Dawn. Dunster later formed the Celtic Ragas Band, whose 2001 release attracted the attention of Sir Paul McCartney, leading to a performance at his 2002 wedding. More of his albums include Feng Shui Part One (1998) and Yoga: On Sacred Ground (2001).
