Biography

Kara's Flowers is the pre-Maroon 5 band of Adam Levine and Jesse Carmichael. Formed in 1994, the band released just one album, The Fourth World, in 1997. Rather grunge-oriented in the wake of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Kara's Flowers don't shine for obvious originality. Despite a few television appearances, particularly in the Beverly Hills series, and the single "Soap Disco", The Fourth World was not a success. Kara's Flowers ceased to exist in 2001, and Adam Levine and Jesse Carmichael temporarily returned to their studies before embarking on new musical adventures.
