Kahitna, a pop group originating from Bandung, Indonesia, was founded in 1986 by Yovie Widianto, who continues to serve as the bandâs pianist and keyboardist. The ensemble, composed of longâtime members such as Bambang Purwono, Hedi Yunus, Dody Isniani, Andrie Bayuadjie, Budiana Nugraha, and Harry Sudirman, first attracted attention with the 1994 release of the Cerita Cinta album, establishing the groupâs reputation for blending pop with jazz, funk, and traditional Indonesian elements. Subsequent albums-Cantik (1996), Sampai Nanti (1998), and Permaisuriku (2000)-expanded their catalog, with Permaisuriku reaching the top ten on national charts. In 2003, the compilation The Best of Kahitna consolidated the bandâs successes, while the 2006 release Soulmate introduced new vocalist Mario Ginanjar, broadening the group's sonic palette. The 2010 album Lebih Dari Sekedar Cantik and the 2016 Rahasia Cinta continued to chart, with "Sahabat Sejati" attaining a peak position of number three on the Indonesian Top 100. Kahitnaâs influence endured through touring across Southeast Asia, collaborations with regional artists, and a 2011 anniversary album Cerita Cinta: 25 Tahun Kahitna, commemorating 25 years of activity. In June 2025, the group collaborated with Monita Tahalea on the track "Titik Nadir".
