Biography

Jon Anthony DeRosa, born December 21, 1978, is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter from New Jersey. He has been involved with various musical acts, including Dead Leaves Rising and Pale Horse and Rider, as well as his solo project, Aarktica. In 2015, DeRosa released his album Black Halo under Rocket Girl Records, produced by Charles Newman and featuring a song co-written by Stephen Merritt of The Magnetic Fields. Before this, he had released several albums with Aarktica, including No Solace in Sleep (2000), Morning One (2001), and In Sea Remixes (2010). DeRosa's work with Pale Horse and Rider resulted in notable releases such as These Are The New Good Times (2003) and Moody Pike (2004).
