Biography

Jon Dee Graham, born on February 28, 1959, in Austin, Texas, is an American musician, guitarist, and songwriter. He began his career as a guitarist and songwriter, joining the band The Skunks in 1979, replacing Eddie Munoz. His guitar work can be heard on their live album Live: Earthquake Shake. Graham's solo career commenced with the release of Escape From Monster Island in 1997. He continued to produce albums, including Summerland, Hooray For The Moon, and The Great Battle, collaborating with notable artists such as John Doe, Patty Griffin, and Michelle Shocked. His music has been featured in soundtracks like Ladder 49 and Veronica Mars. He was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame multiple times, including as a solo artist in 2000. Graham was named Austin Musician of the Year during the South by Southwest (SXSW) music conference in 2006.
