Biography

Joel Henrik Hallikainen, born on October 11, 1961, in Turku, Finland, was a Finnish singer. In his early career, he worked as a welder at the Wärtsilä shipyard and played guitar in the new wave band Korroosio. Hallikainen began his solo career in 1990 as a Schlager singer with the release of Telmuksen taikatalo. His debut album, Joel Hallikainen, followed in 1992. Throughout the 1990s and beyond, he released numerous albums, including Anna vierellesi tulla, Halipula (1994), Kellastuneet kirjeet (1995), and "Joulurauhaa" (1996). Hallikainen's discography also includes collaborations such as Kimpassa with Timo Koivusalo in 1998. Notable compilations include 20 Suosikkia: Kuurankukka (1996) and 40 hittiä: Kaikki parhaat (2003). His later works include Puhu minulle (2006), Miljoonan ruusun maa (2007), and Kaunis elämä (2013). Hallikainen's career spanned over two decades, marked by consistent album releases and a significant presence in the Finnish music scene.
