Born on 25 November 1973 in Bristol and active since the late 1980s, Jody Wisternoff is a renowned UK electronic producer and DJ, celebrated for his deep, emotive sound that blends progressive house, trance, and ambient music. A key figure in the global dance music scene, he gained early recognition as one-half of the influential duo Way Out West, alongside producer Nick Warren. The duo's groundbreaking work in the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly their albums Way Out West (1997) and Intensify (2001), helped shape the progressive house genre, with tracks like "The Gift" and "Don't Forget Me" becoming iconic anthems. In addition to his work with Way Out West, Jody Wisternoff has cultivated a successful solo career, releasing several albums and EPs that showcase his evolving style. His solo work, such as Trails We Blaze (2012) and Nightwhisper (2020), delves into more introspective, atmospheric soundscapes while retaining his signature groove-driven beats.
