Biography

Born in Hamburg in 1989, producer Steffen Linck became a celebrated live act on the electronic dance music scene in Germany shortly after the release of his first EP The End (2015), which was produced in collaboration with Acid Pauli. The DJ, who operates under the alter ego Monolink, soon added appearances at major festivals such as Melt and the US Burning Man to his CV. Steffen Linck, who now lives in Berlin, released his debut album Amniotic in 2018. The artist, who also dabbled in indie music before his time as an electro artist and therefore always skillfully weaves singer-songwriter elements into his sound, followed up with two more tracks in 2019. He produced "Black Day" in collaboration with Adam Beyer, while "Black Hole" was created alongside Göttingen-based music producer Ben Böhmer. Monolink, whose sound spectrum ranges from tech and dream house to ambient approaches to techno and EDM borrowings, celebrates his commercial breakthrough in 2021: his second studio album Under Darkening Skies immediately reaches number 27 in the German LP charts. Monolink returned at the end of September 2025 with the album The Beauty Of It All. The album reaches number 40 in Germany.
