Jia Peng Fang, born on April 6, 1958 in Jiamusi, China, is a composer known for his work in New Age and world music. At age eight, Jia began learning to play the erhu under the influence of his older brother. By sixteen, he moved to Beijing to study with experienced players. (2001), further solidified his success both domestically and internationally.
